Dr. Elise Ziegenhorn is a compassionate general dentist dedicated to helping patients achieve healthy, confident smiles through personalized, high-quality dental care. She enjoys building lasting relationships with patients while providing preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry tailored to each individual’s needs. With a passion for combining science, artistry, and patient care, Dr. Ziegenhorn strives to create a comfortable experience where every patient feels heard and valued.
Education and Expertise
Dr. Ziegenhorn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University before receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Southern Illinois University. She is Invisalign® Certified and has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, continually expanding her knowledge through continuing education to provide patients with modern, evidence-based treatment options. Dr. Ziegenhorn is licensed to practice in Illinois and is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Chicago Dental Society (CDS), and Illinois State Dental Society (ISDS).
Outside the Office
Outside the practice, Dr. Ziegenhorn enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, and playing the piano, which she has loved since the age of four. She values creativity both inside and outside the dental office and enjoys finding opportunities to make a positive impact in the lives of those around her.

What inspired you to become a dentist?
I wanted a career that combined science, creativity, and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Dentistry allows me to do all three while helping patients feel healthier and more confident.
If you weren’t a dentist, what career would you have pursued?
I would have become a veterinarian because I’ve always loved animals and enjoy caring for others, whether they have two legs or four.
What do you enjoy outside of dentistry?
I love spending time with family and friends, baking, and playing the piano. Music has been a part of my life since I was four years old and continues to be one of my favorite creative outlets.
